Fifth Imam Abu Hanifa International Expo to Be Held in Kabul
The fifth Imam Abu Hanifa International Expo is scheduled to be held in Kabul from October 7 to 13.
The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) says companies and investors from 50 countries have been invited to participate in the expo. Representatives from 20 countries have accepted the invitation and confirmed their participation.
ACCI officials said promoting domestic products, attracting investment and expanding trade relations with countries in the region and around the world are among the main objectives of the expo.
Zainullah Hasani, acting CEO of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: “Industrialists and traders from countries in the region and even some European countries have been invited to participate in the expo and showcase their products, information and modern technological equipment.”
Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Russia, India and Kazakhstan are among the countries expected to participate, while talks with Türkiye over its participation are ongoing.
A total of 800 booths have been allocated to showcase products, goods and technologies from participating countries.
Saber Latifi, head of the Afghanistan International Exhibition Center, said: “This expo is not limited to a specific sector; rather, it covers all domestic and international sectors. Companies and brands from various sectors can participate and showcase their products and services.”
Ahmad Shakil Hazem, deputy for technical affairs and policy of the ACCI executive board, said: “Among the countries with the largest presence at the expo is Iran, which has requested approximately 1,350 square meters of space, and the contract has been signed. Uzbekistan has also requested 500 square meters, while Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan have requested significant exhibition space as well.”
Organizers say that, in addition to promoting domestic products, signing trade agreements, introducing new technologies and exchanging expertise among domestic and foreign traders and companies will be key components of the expo.
