Trade volume between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan exceeds $2 billion

Officials of the Uzbekistan Exporters Union said in a meeting in Balkh that the trade volume between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan has exceeded $2 billion in the first eight months of 2026.

According to them, the value of trade between the two countries in 2024 was about $800 million, which increased to $1.85 billion in 2025.

Meanwhile, officials of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment consider the increase in trade between the two countries important for securing goods, controlling prices, and preventing hoarding in Afghanistan.
