Nearly 90 killed in yesterday’s attacks in Kabul
Western media reports put the death toll from Kabul airport bombings at nearly 100 dead.
The BBC says that about 90 people, including foreign troops, were killed in yesterday’s bombings at Kabul airport.
The Wall Street Journal, meanwhile, reported that nearly 100 people had been killed in the blasts, including 13 foreign troops and 90 Afghans.
Two explosions yesterday took place near the entrance gate of Kabul airport, both of which were caused by a suicide attack.
ISIL has claimed responsibility for the attacks by issuing a statement.
However, prior to the blasts, the British and US Ministries of Defense had warned that Kabul airfield was likely to be attacked and urged all foreign and Afghan nationals not to enter the airfield.
