The Pentagon is compensating the families of the victims of the Kabul attack

The Pentagon has said it is compensating the families of 10 civilians killed in a drone strike in Kabul in August and is working with the State Department to repatriate them.
According to Reuters, the Pentagon has announced that these commitments with the families of the victims will include compensation and cooperation with the US State Department to transfer them to this country.
A US drone strike in Kabul has killed 10 civilians, including seven children.
The Pentagon had previously said that the August 29 attack targeted an ISIS suicide bomber who posed an imminent threat to US-led troops at the airport, but Pentagon officials later said the attack was a “sad mistake.”
The attack came three days after an ISIL suicide bomber killed 13 American soldiers and a number of Afghan civilians who had gathered outside the airport gate.
