Taliban assured Ahmad Massoud and Amir Ismail Khan they can return to country

The deputy Taliban spokesman said the Islamic Emirate had assured Ahmad Massoud and Amir Ismail Khan that they could return to their country.

In an interview with Sputnik, Bilal Karimi, the Taliban’s deputy spokesman, said that a delegation led by Amir Khan Mottaqi had traveled to Tehran at the official invitation of Iran and had talked with Ahmad Massoud Amir Ismail Khan on the sidelines.

Mr. Karimi added that during the conversation, the Taliban delegation assured Ahmad Massoud and Amir Ismail Khan that they could return to their country.

Regarding the Taliban delegation’s visit to Iran, he explained that the main purpose of the delegation’s visit to Iran was not to meet with Ahmad Massoud and Amir Ismail Khan.

According to him, the Islamic Emirate is trying to make Afghanistan a country for all Afghans so that no one feels uneasy in it.
