National Statistics Office: With the increase of Afghanistan’s population, the provision of services has decreased

Officials at the National Bureau of Statistics and Information have reported an increase in Afghanistan’s population in 1401, and say that with the increase in population, services across the country have declined.
According to the agency, Afghanistan’s population was estimated at 34.3 million in 1401, with men estimated at 2 percent more than women, and 45 percent of the total population under the age of 15, 49.7 percent of working age and only 2.7% of the total population of the country are in retirement age.
The National Bureau of Statistics and Information also said that 24.2 million people live in rural areas, 8.6 million in cities and another 1.5 million live as nomads.
“Afghanistan’s population is estimated at 34.3 million this year,” Hasibaullah Movahed, deputy director of the National Statistics and Information Directorate, told a news conference in Kabul yesterday. “17.5 million are males and 16.8 million are females.”
Emphasizing that with the increase of population in Afghanistan, the provision of services has decreased, he added that according to the statistics of this department, the total export of goods and services in 1400 compared to 1399 by 11.8% and imports of goods and services in Afghanistan The year 1400 has decreased by 19% compared to the year 1399.
