Pakistan’s parliament was dissolved by the president

The President of Pakistan has dissolved the Parliament of Pakistan at the request of the Prime Minister.

According to Pakistani media, the motion of no confidence in Prime Minister Imran Khan, which was scheduled to be put to a vote in the Pakistani parliament today, was rejected by the leadership of the parliament, and following that, the President of the Pakistan dissolved the parliament at the request of Imran Khan.

Pakistani Parliament Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri today rejected a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan’s government, calling it against Article 5 of the constitution.

The motion of no confidence in Imran Khan was submitted to the parliament by the opposition parties and was supposed to be put to a vote today.

Imran Khan’s opposition party has accused him of incompetence in managing Pakistan’s economy and foreign policy, saying he no longer deserves to run for prime minister.

Imran Khan had previously said he would not accept a resignation and would continue to fight, claiming that the plot against the government and his ouster was planned by the United States, a claim denied by the State Department.
