Amnesty International: The Taliban must be make accountable for imposing restrictions on women

Amnesty International has expressed concern about the plight of women in Afghanistan and called on the international community to make the Taliban accountable.
The organization tweeted that the situation of women in Afghanistan was deteriorating and that the international community should make the Taliban accountable for imposing restrictions on women and girls in the country.
Amnesty International writes: “Despite the Taliban ‘s guarantee of respect for the rights of women and girls, millions of women and girls in Afghanistan have been systematically discriminated against since the group came to power. The international community must make the Taliban accountable.
The imposition of restrictions by the Taliban on women and girls in Afghanistan has always met with external and internal reactions.
Recently, Human Rights Watch said in a statement in response to the restrictions, in particular the Taliban’s new order to cover the faces of female presenters on television during the program, that the order was part of a continuing Taliban movement that initially restricted girls’ education. It has barred women from working, curtailed women’s freedom of movement, cut off women’s access to health care, and abolished protectionist measures for women in Afghanistan.
