The first group of pilgrims from the northern provinces left for Madinah

The Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced that the first flight to transport pilgrims from Afghanistan’s northern provinces to Medina has been completed.
The ministry said in a statement that 336 pilgrims had been transferred to Saudi Arabia during the flight from Mazar-e-Sharif International Airport.
The ministry said that so far 442 pilgrims have been transferred from Mazar-e-Sharif airport to Saudi Arabia on two flights.
More than 13,000 people from Afghanistan are expected to attend this year’s Hajj.
Saudi Arabia is once again allowing one million people to attend this year’s Hajj after a two-year hiatus.
