The United Nations and the World Bank signed a memorandum of understanding of $20 million to help Afghanistan

The United Nations Development Program in Afghanistan (UNDP) has announced that it has signed a 20-million-dollar memorandum for the economic development of Afghanistan with the World Bank.

In a statement published by this organization on Thursday, it is stated that according to this memorandum, the World Bank will pay 20 million dollars for human, economic and social development in Afghanistan, and this money will be used in 34 provinces of Afghanistan to improve the capacity of non-governmental organizations and projects.

This organization said that non-governmental and civil organizations of Afghanistan have played an important role in providing humanitarian services and development activities due to long wars.

The United Nations Development Program also said that according to the agreement it signed with the World Bank, projects with quick impacts will also be supported.

This institution stated that the goal of these projects is to increase access to health, education, agriculture, food safety and livelihood activities for vulnerable communities, including people with disabilities.
