UNICEF asked for 1.65 billion dollars to help the children of Afghanistan

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has requested $1.65 billion in aid for the children of Afghanistan.
UNICEF said in a statement that Afghanistan is at the top of the countries in need and 1.65 billion dollars are needed to provide essential aid to children in this country.
The United Nations Children’s Fund has requested a total of $10.3 billion to help 173 million people, including 110 million children, in the world.
This international organization had previously announced in a tweet that about 900,000 children in Afghanistan are at risk of death due to food insecurity.
This institution added that these children need the help of the international community in order not to suffer from acute malnutrition.
