Karen Dicker: How can the Taliban fight hunger in Afghanistan by banning women from working?

The chargé d’affaires of the American embassy in Afghanistan has said that how can the Taliban prevent women and children from starving by banning women from working.

Keren Dicker, Chargé d’affaires of the US Embassy in Afghanistan, wrote in a tweet that the Taliban plan to prevent women and children from starving, provided that women are not allowed to distribute aid to other women and children.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the American Embassy in Afghanistan made these statements in response to the suspension of women’s work in government and foreign institutions in Afghanistan by the Taliban.

This American diplomat had previously said in response to the suspension of girls’ education in Afghan universities by the Taliban that the order of the Minister of Higher Education to suspend the education of Afghan girls can be described as incomprehensible, unjustifiable and far from Islamic laws.

According to him, by taking this decision, the Taliban are pushing Afghanistan further towards poverty and the future of their children and grandchildren towards failure.
