US Embassy in Islamabad: We paid 60 million dollars to help Afghan immigrants to Pakistan

The American Embassy in Islamabad says that the United States has paid 60 million dollars to the government of this country in 2022 to address the situation of Afghan immigrants in Pakistan.

The American Embassy in Islamabad said in a newsletter that the United States is proud to continue its assistance to Afghan refugees in Pakistan and has hosted them for four decades.

The embassy added that the US government has paid 273 million dollars since 2002 to Islamabad to help Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

It is worth mentioning that after the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, the amount of migration from this country to neighboring countries, including Pakistan, increased.

According to reports, the majority of migrants who are currently in Pakistan are in a bad situation.
