The Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations met with Amir Khan Motaqi

The Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations and his accompanying delegation have met with Amir Khan Motaghi, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban.
Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Taliban’s foreign ministry, wrote in a tweet that Mrs. Amina Mohammad, the deputy secretary general of the United Nations, at the head of a high-ranking delegation, met with the foreign minister of this group, Maulvi Amir Khan Motaqi.
According to the spokesperson of the Taliban Foreign Ministry, Mrs. Amina Mohammad said that, the purpose of her trip to Kabul is to examine the situation in Afghanistan and convey the message of the international community about the education and work of women to the government of this country.
In this meeting, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Taliban said that the non-recognition of the government of this group, the non-removal of restrictions on the travel of government officials and bank sanctions are factors that have made Afghans face many problems and the international community must take positive steps to solve these problems.
