The Foreign Ministrs of Turkey and Iran demanded the lifting of the ban on women’s education in Afghanistan

The foreign ministers of Turkey and Iran say that education should be provided for women and girls in Afghanistan.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in a press conference with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdullahian in Ankara emphasized on the provision of education for girls and women in Afghanistan.
In this meeting, the foreign ministers of Turkey and Iran emphasized that the ban on the education of girls and women in Afghanistan by the Taliban has no Islamic justification.
Turkey’s foreign minister said: “We have confirmed that we are of the same mind regarding the restriction of girls’ education and the prohibition of women’s work in Afghanistan. In this regard, we will continue our work with the Taliban or, if necessary, under the umbrella of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Our religion, Islam, has not prohibited education, on the contrary, it commands education, so their actions are against our religion and inhumane.
It should be mentioned that earlier, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a meeting, called the prohibition of women’s education in Afghanistan against Sharia law and called on the Taliban to provide education for girls and women in Afghanistan.
