A fire in Jawzjan led to the death of one person

Local officials in Jawzjan say that a fire in an oil tank in this province has led to the death of one person.

Abdul Sattar Halimi, the spokesman of the Jawzjan Police Command, says that this incident happened on Friday at an oil tank in the Andkhoi port of Shaberghan, the capital of this province.

As a result of this incident, one person died and two others were injured.

The spokesman of Jawzjan Police Command adds that the fire was extinguished after 4 hours by the fire brigade and the owner of the oil tank suffered a loss of about 200,000 US dollars.

Officials say that the cause of the fire was carelessness during the unloading of the oil tanker.
