Asphalting of Kabul-Kandahar highway has started

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, inaugurated the asphalting of the Kabul-Kandahar highway project.

In a tweet, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Taliban Ministry wrote that Mullah Mohammad Isa Thani, Acting Minister of Public Works, provincial officials of Kabul and Maidan Wardag, and a number of private sector representatives were present at the opening ceremony of this project.

Representatives of the private sector say that with the reconstruction of this highway from the south to the center and north of the country, there will be facilities in the trade and transit sector.

The reconstruction of the Kabul-Kandahar highway is divided into 7 parts, from Arghandi to Bazar Durrani, which is 27 kilometers long, 11 meters wide, and has two large bridges, 50 and 80 meters long, which cost about one billion Afghani.
