Agreement on the withdrawal of the last coalition forces from Iraq

Reuters, citing several informed sources, wrote that the United States and Iraq have reached an understanding on plans for the withdrawal of US-led coalition forces from Iraq.

According to these sources, hundreds of soldiers are supposed to leave Iraq by the end of September 2025 and the rest by the end of 2026.

The United States has about 2,500 troops in Iraq.
