Nationalist Parties in Chaman Reject Pakistan’s Policies in Protest Rally

Members of nationalist parties in Chaman have criticized Pakistan’s “oppressive policies,” saying that the time has come to claim their rights from the Pakistani state.
During a protest gathering in the town of Chaman, they alleged that Pakistan deprives Pashtuns and Baloch people of their resources and rights.
According to the nationalist party members, if Pakistan does not reconsider its current policies, they will sever their ties with the country.
Asghar Khan Achakzai, the provincial head of the Awami National Party (ANP) – Balochistan, said: “We will either get our rights or we will no longer accept the rule of Punjab. Our stance is clear now. Pashtuns have been deprived of their rights in their own land, in Balochistan.”
Majid Kakar, a member of the Pashtun Protection Movement – Balochistan, told the attendees: “They do not believe in peaceful protests and demonstrations. Therefore, a national uprising and the formation of an army are necessary. This is how we can free Afghans and Baloch people from ongoing oppression and achieve our rights.”
Political party representatives also condemned the requirement for passports and visas at the Chaman–Spin Boldak crossing, calling it a failed attempt to separate Afghans.
Nasrullah Khan Zeri, a member of the Awami National Party – Balochistan, said: “We do not accept the passport requirement for crossing the Durand Line. Travel should be allowed with the national ID card (Tazkira), and we reject any decisions to the contrary.”
The meeting in Chaman also included criticism of Pakistan’s forced deportation of Afghan refugees, describing it as part of Pakistan’s broader political agenda.
