Two civilians were killed in an explosion in Nangarhar

Authorities in Nangarhar say two civilians were killed and 18 others were injured in an explosion in the province.

A statement from the Nangarhar governor’s office said the blast took place this morning (Wednesday, April 7) in the second district of Jalalabad.

Two people were killed and 18 others, including three police officers, were injured in the blast, according to the statement.

The statement said the incident was caused by a landmine planted in a pot.

No one or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
