The capital of Sheikh Ali district of Parwan province has fallen out of Taliban control

Sources in Parwan province say that security forces and popular uprisings have been able to take control of the Sheikh Ali district of the province.

Parwan Governor Fazluddin Ayar said security forces and popular uprisings launched an operation this morning to drive Taliban fighters out of the Sheikh Ali district center.

Meanwhile, some sources said that clashes between security forces and Taliban fighters were taking place in the suburbs of the district.

Sheikh Ali district has been under Taliban control for more than a week.
