Turkey has earned $ 24 billion from tourism this year

Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism says the country has achieved $ 24 billion in tourism revenue this year.
In an interview with Anatolian News Agency, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nouri Ersavi said that the goal of tourism revenue of $ 24 billion was achieved in 2021, which is $ 34.5 billion for next year.
“With the relative return to normal, our goal was to increase our revenue from $ 12 billion in 2020 by 100 percent,” Arsavi said, adding that the outbreak of Covid-19 disease has also greatly affected the tourism sector. “Let’s raise $ 24 billion, which has been done.”
According to him, per capita tourism revenue, which fell to $ 647 in Turkey in 2018, has risen to $ 830 this year.
“There are new mutations in the Corona pandemic, but we have had a successful fight against the disease,” he said, noting that they expect the tourism growth to continue to grow next year. Of course, other countries must also fight the virus in order for flights to continue. “The forecast is that the exponential growth we achieved in 2021 will continue in 2022.”
