Child Protection Organization: 80% of female students in Afghanistan are deprived of education

The Child Protection Organization says about 80 percent of female students in Afghanistan have been deprived of education due to the Taliban blocking secondary schools and high schools.
Of the 1.1 million female students in Afghanistan, 850,000 do not go to school right now, the agency said in a report yesterday.
Oliver Franchi, head of the Child Protection Organization for South Asia, said many of the girls who were barred from going to school by the Taliban last month and returned from their gates were depressed and heartbroken.
The head of the Child Protection Organization for South Asia added: “The Child Protection Organization calls on the Islamic Emirate to immediately allow girls of any age to return to school. “No administrative, logistical, etc. issue can justify the continuation of a policy that deprives girls of access to education.”
According to him, education is the only way out for all children, especially girls.
Contrary to its promise, the Taliban are still blocking girls’ high schools.
