The deputy director of the Afghan-Turk school in Kandahar was killed by gunmen

Local officials in Kandahar say the deputy director of an Afghan-Turk private high school in the province has been killed by unidentified gunmen.
Mohammad Asif Hakimi, spokesman for the Kandahar Police Command, said that the person killed was Ershad Ahmad Afzali, the deputy director of the Afghan-Turk private high school in Kandahar, who was killed by unknown gunmen in the town of Aino Mina of the city.
He added that an investigation is underway to arrest the perpetrators of this incident.
Meanwhile, local sources in Kandahar say that gunmen took his cell phone with him after killing him.
According to them, the body of the killed person was taken to Kandahar District Hospital.
Last week, officials at Afghan-Turkish schools in Kabul announced a temporary halt to classes at the school, saying they would resume normal classes after security threats were removed.
