98% increase in exports through Herat ports

The officials of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment say that during the last year, exports through Islam Qala and Turghandi ports have increased by 98% compared to the previous year.

Mohammad Yusuf Amin, Executive Director of Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, says that this export includes animal products, agricultural products, domestic products and minerals, which were exported to neighboring countries, Central Asia, United Arab Emirates, European countries and America.

Mr. Amin attributed the increase in exports to mining contracts, mining, increasing domestic production with high quality and improving the quality of agricultural products, ensuring the security of highways and creating necessary facilities for businessmen.

A major part of this export has been done through land ports and also through railways.

Meanwhile, businessmen in Herat want to create more facilities in the visa department for businessmen so that they can export more products abroad.
