US: The Taliban want to have a commercial airport in Kabul

State Department Spokesman Net Price said the Taliban wanted to have a commercial airfield in Kabul and work with the United States.

“We are talking to the Taliban about this, they have made it clear to us that they want to have an active commercial airport,” Price told reporters at a meeting.

Meanwhile, 5,800 US troops are currently in charge of Kabul Airport.
