Saleh: Al-Qaeda, ISIS and the Taliban are the same

Amrullah Saleh, the former vice president of Afghanistan, said in an interview that the Taliban, al-Qaeda and ISIS are the same.
“Ideologically, the difference between ISIL, al-Qaeda and the Taliban is like the difference between the taste of Coca-Cola and Pepsi. If you remove their labels, you can say which is Coca-Cola and which is Pepsi?” Saleh told FoxNews.
“The Taliban cannot be trusted because the group believes that only their jihadist literature will prevail,” he said, referring to the 2020 US peace deal with the Taliban.
“Our political goal is to allow the Afghan people to talk about the nature and type of government, we are ready to negotiate,” he said on Saturday, stressing that the Taliban had no legitimacy. But if we are asked to agree or surrender, we will not do so.
