Atta and Dostum form a united front to negotiate with the Taliban over the formation of a future government

According to Reuters, Atta Mohammad Noor, Abdul Rashid Dostum and some political leaders want to form a united front to negotiate the formation of a future government in Afghanistan.
Some sources have also said that the emerging front will be made up of most of the Taliban’s opposition groups.
“We prefer to negotiate collectively with the Taliban because the problem of Afghanistan cannot be solved by one group,” Atta Mohammad Noor’s son Khalid Noor told Reuters.
Atta Mohammad Noor, leader of the Islamic Jamiat , and Marshal Dostum, leader of the Afghan Turkomans, left Afghanistan after the Taliban seized control of Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province.
According to some reports, the two leaders are based in Uzbekistan.
