Mottaqi emphasizes development assistance for Afghanistan’s economic stability

Amir Khan Mottaqi, Acting Foreign Minister, met with Rosa Otunbayeva, Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), to discuss various issues, including development assistance for the country’s economic growth.

In this meeting, Mr. Mottaqi emphasized economic stability in various sectors and assured that Afghanistan will witness rapid economic growth in the near future.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a press release, quoted Ms. Otunbayeva as saying that for the first time in the past three years, the amount of development assistance to Afghanistan has exceeded humanitarian assistance.
