Ministry of Education Signs Literacy Agreement with 25 Govt Institutions

The Ministry of Education has signed a cooperation agreement with 25 ministries and government agencies to promote literacy, expand education, and enhance the capacity of employees.
Sakhaullah Saeed, Deputy Minister for Education and Training, stated that educational services are being provided to all remote areas of the country. He also emphasized that efforts to identify and eliminate “ghost schools” are ongoing.
The Deputy Minister further added: “In the past, there were ghost schools, and this legacy still remains. However, we have made significant progress in eliminating ghost positions and schools.”
Meanwhile, the National Mobilization Director of the Literacy Department at the Ministry of Education announced the establishment of over 14,000 literacy courses across the country.
Zahidullah Salimi, National Mobilization Director of the Literacy Department, said: “A total of 14,090 literacy courses have been established nationwide, providing education opportunities to 290,427 individuals.”
According to ministry officials, the government currently funds 100% of the Ministry of Education’s budget.
