UNICEF: 22.9 million people in Afghanistan need humanitarian assistance

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced that by 2025, an estimated 22.9 million people, including 12 million children, will need humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan.
According to UNICEF, these figures highlight the importance of continued support to help the most vulnerable segments of society.
In addition, climate change and natural disasters have exacerbated humanitarian crises across Afghanistan and made people’s living conditions even more critical.
