Russia evacuates a group of Afghan students from Afghanistan

The Russian embassy in Kabul announced the transfer of a group of Afghan students to Russia who had been admitted to Russian universities.

“Today, a large group of Afghan students flew Russian VK aircraft to continue their face-to-face training at universities across Russia,” the Russian embassy said in a statement.

The students were reportedly flown in by military planes that brought Russian humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the three military planes carrying 36 tons of humanitarian aid arrived in Afghanistan today.

The ministry said in a statement that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu had set up an aviation group of three military aircraft to send aid, including food and medicine.

On the other hand, Zamir Kabulov, Special Representative of the President of Russia for Afghanistan and Head of the Asian Section of the Russian Foreign Ministry, spoke about the possibility of lending to the Government of Afghanistan.

He said that if the decision was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Moscow could do the same.

Kabulov has stressed that the West has frozen Afghanistan’s assets, so the United States and Western countries must take full financial responsibility for Afghanistan’s post-war reconstruction.
