China called on the United States to lift unilateral sanctions against Afghanistan

China’s foreign ministry has called on the United States to lift unilateral sanctions against Afghanistan and release frozen assets of this country.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Wang Wenbin yesterday criticized the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and its consequences, saying: “lift unilateral sanctions against Afghanistan.”

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman, the consequences of the 20-year occupation of Afghanistan by the United States continue and intensify despite the withdrawal of American troops from the country.

The United Nations recently said that some 22 million people in Afghanistan are in need of food, medicine and raw materials.
