MSF asked the Taliban to take “exit” exam from the girls

The Doctors Without Borders organization in Afghanistan has asked the Taliban to set a new date for female medical students to participate in the medical council exams.

Doctors Without Borders said in a statement on Monday: “The shortage of health care workers is currently affecting access to medical services inside Afghanistan. Women’s access to secondary and higher education is critical to ensure that people’s medical needs are addressed in the future.”

The organization added that strengthening Afghanistan’s under-resourced and productive health system also requires freedom of movement and the right to work for non-governmental organizations, and that access to health care and education should be available to all.

It should be mentioned that the Taliban recently postponed the Medical Council exams for female medical students for an indefinite period, but the exams for male students have been held according to the schedule.
